Machine Learning Director/VP

We are looking for a senior machine learning specialist to join and head our Research and Development team.

Primary Roles

Design and coordinate existing algorithms as well as ML applications that are standards-based to integrate into the offerings of Tellspec’s consumer food analysis.

Responsibilities

Ph.D in Computer Science, Computational Biology & Bioinformatics
Solid knowledge of Statistics and Mathematics
Strong research experience in machine learning and data mining. Specifically, in the areas of data-driven modeling, pattern recognition, support vector machines, collaborative filtering, Bayesian/Markov networks, clustering, classification, regression, probability theory, neural networks, and data management systems.
Strong skills in statistical analysis of large quantities of scientific measurement data, deep knowledge of relevant metrics for real-time systems, and a good understanding of data mining techniques.
Structured thinker and effective communicator with the ability to collaborate with dynamic teams.
Good understanding of algorithms, data structures, optimization techniques, and object-oriented programming.
Excellent programming skills in Python (preferred) and/or MATLAB.
Strong skills in working with large volumes of data.
Experience with machine learning algorithms as applied to food analysis and food science data is a plus.
Experience in collaborate efforts with software engineers to make large scale implementations.
