Dr. George Bazar

Head Scientist

His main field of research is the application of near infrared (NIR) spectroscopy and additional data evaluation protocols, multivariate chemometric approaches in the agricultural and food sciences. His studies focus on meat and fat authentications, quality assessment and quantitative evaluations using NIR technique, description of water and aqueous solutions, biological matrices using aquaphotomics, and description of aroma profiles of foods and feeds with electronic sensor array systems. In 2012-2014, as a JSPS post-doctorate research fellow at Kobe University, Japan, he investigated the application of aquaphotomics in biological studies. He is member of the public bodies of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, and member of the International Council of Near Infrared Spectroscopy. Dr. Bazar, is a research fellow at Kaposvár University, holds a MSc in Agricultural Engineering (2006), PhD in Animal Science (2011)
